What do you drive?

Wondering what all you guys and girls out there drive around in! Tell us all about your pride and joy....

My car - Rover 25 1.6iS in Platinum Silver. I get moaned at that it's an old mans car, but the ride and handling are superb plus it goes like an absolute bomb!

Series III land rover. 1979 vintage

Looks a lot like this one - same model colour and lack of windows in the back.

Short Wheel Base but has still had 8 people on board. Goes anywhere, drinks petrol like a petrol-drinking fish though.

I drive a Greeny-Blue Corsa (newest shape) 3 door, with the aweinspiring 3cyl 12v 1 litre lump (shouldnt take the piss, its actually really quick).

Had a wee blue Fiat Panda previously, with the twin fold back canvass sunroofs, the last word in elegance

Well, as most will prolly' know:

Image

Was my mobile of choice.

Xantia 2.0i - 16v head replacement and ECU re-programmed. A few hydraulic suspension tweaks!! This car had adjustable ride height which was cool and could be made to 'bounce' up and down while idling at traffic lights.. Which would always raise a smile... ;)

However, I abused it to death and it currently resides in a 2ft x 2ft paperweight at an area scrappy!

Now though:

Image

1.3 Turbo Diesel. Boost pressure raised 20% it goes some for a small car. Everything else is totally stock as I hand it back every year and get...

A new one!

However....

I did get a wee shot of one of THESE when they were first brought to the UK:

I think I could prolly adapt to the change if I was handed one for ... Oh... Nothing!

I can't drive! I do, however, have a car, and i'll be driving it as soon as i get off my ass and get a license.

It's a wee rover metro, 1.1s. K-plate. Not the bestest wheels in the world, but it was a present a few years ago. Should really sort out lessons... :D

Hmm.. Everyone in here seems to be too sensible. Let me break the mould.

Image

For:
310 bhp
150+ mph
0-60 6 sec
cheap to buy and insure as a classic

Against:
service and maint cost if not DIY
16-17 mpg no matter how you drive
hasn't moved for 3 yrs + now

Should trade it in for something sensible like:

Image

Yes, this one has a turbo and nitrous.
