Oh yes! :)

Viewing some films (World War Z springs to mind) through a haze of alcohol might improve them. ;)

Did anyone else just not bother with the West End Festival yesterday on the basis that it's the same old thing each year?

Tried to buy tickets for a gig next Thursday at Oran Mor, tickets are £10. Get on-line to Ticketmaster, as Oran Mor don't do their own tickets, tickets now cost £12.
Groan, mumble, mutter etc.
Click to buy. We'll post them for £3 - "even tough it isn't secure" - but if you chose to pay £5, we'll guarantee their arrival. Tickets now cost £15.
Groan, mumble,mutter etc.

Buying tickets for gigs is now a complete rip off, compared to the days when you just went up to the Apollo and bought the damn things.
All these added fees, like 'booking fees' what's that for?

Preachin' to the choir, guys, preachin' to the choir.

I quite fancied going to see Elbow frontman Guy Garvey at the ABC in Sauchiehall Street next month, but even before you add the booking fees and whatnot, the tickets are £31 a pop.

I was in town this afternoon and got the tickets, paying cash to avoid any other surcharges- GRCH and O2 charge £1 for every card transaction. Funnily enough, Tesco doesn't and I can't imagine any retail outlet charging you for buying something from them.
It's a scam.

On 'River City' the other night one character advised another not to wait for a lift but to take "THE TUBE." Hanging's too good for them.

Should they not have stopped making the 'Fast and Furious' films after Paul Walker died?
I realise he died during making of one so perhaps they felt they had to complete as a tribute to him.

A neighbour gave us a bottle of white port.
Apparently you are supposed to drink with tonic water (which I don't like).

I have had it neat so far but maybe I could try it with Lemonade or has anyone else any ideas.

Getting right pissed off at the number of shitty TV/movie adaptations of classic books.

A bad adaptation spoils the chances of a decent, faithful, one for twenty odd years.

Each day the numbers for the Coronavirus in the UK seem to be growing and yet there are still people who are not washing their hands. Do some people just not care that they could be spreading germs?

I was staggered at the number of people in England on a visit last month who were using public toilets and just walked straight out without batting an eyelid. What amazed me most was that they were usually women of 50-60 age group so you would think they would know better.

The thing that strikes me about the Coronavirus, is that it originated in China - we are told.

Which is fair enough.

But then again, the Communist Party of China are a bunch of shifty buggers, and if they're cheerfully admitting "Oh yes, we've got 500 confirmed fatalities." or whatever, how many fatalities are they not admitting to?

You kind of wonder if they're sneakily using Coronavirus as an excuse to quietly round up all their pro-democracy dissidents and so on and secretly disposing of them?
