Does anyone else have trouble with supermarket trolleys?
I usually do a big shop every Saturday and why do I almost always get trolley with a squeaky and or wobbly wheel?
Yesterday it was a battle to get round with a trolley which clearly wanted to go a different route than I did.
By the time I got to the till I felt like I had done about ten rounds with Mike Tyson.
Feet were killing me and wrists worn out with the sheer effort of getting round the aisles.
Even just getting out to the car park I had to pull the trolley part of the way instead of pushing it.
Perhaps I am just a wee weakling.

Maybe the staff and management need to road test these things to see how they get on.

The difference between a married man and a supermarket trolley?

The supermarket trolley has a mind of it's own.
Multi dinero, multi ficky fick, multi divorce.

Dot, can you not pre book a serviced trolly over there? Over here is only costs £3.50 for that service, £4.50 if you want alloy wheels.

Anyone else ever heard of Manx Knobs?

Never heard of them until someone brought them into work after a holiday in Isle of Man.
For those who don't know they are a sweet which are a bit like humbugs.

What do you need a fridge for. When I was in the services (long time ago I hasten to add) if I had any left over take-away curry I used to put the tin foil container over a radiator and have it for my breakfast ::):

Anyone else like those crunchy corn nut things you get in Tesco?
My OH says not to buy them as he thinks they smell funny but doesn't stop him from eating them.

I'll have you know my feet are in fine working order and I don't suffer from corns. ::):

Now for something completely different.

Has anyone on HG heard of a spice called Asafoetida?
I found some in the kitchen but have never used it.
The jar says that when it is fried it takes on a pleasant onion-like flavour. It can be used in a curry and in other
Indian dishes. It doesn't smell very nice if I am being honest.

The OH has been wearing a support thing on his hand as he has done something to it.
Probably wrecked it at golf or something.
He is a bit of a music man like LG or HJ so he has stopped golf temporarily so he is able to play guitar.

Speaking of life insurance I must just go check the papers. ::):
