We have four Tesco stores of various sizes quite close to where I live.
One is an Express one and you would expect it to be a bit dearer than others but not by that much.

I know there are regional variations but are those prices not a bit excessive?

Was using up some vouchers in the food part of M & S.
Just thought it was a bit odd that four apples that came all the way from Washington State were priced lower than a packet which had apples from somewhere in Rep. of Ireland.

Can anyone tell me why stores like Tesco and others can't sell individual tins of beer etc but yet off licence
places can?

Just curious as Tesco and the like did it in the past.

they can ,they choose not to.they say it benefits the customer to buy them in a four pack.when did a supermarket ever do anything to benefit customers?

I wonder if I am the only one who thinks I would rather go hungry than eat a lasagne sandwich.
Couldn't believe it when I saw them for sale in Tesco.

Don't get me wrong I do like lasagne and I do like bread but to me it would be like eating pizza cold.
It can be done but why would you?

Josef,

Here are a few folk doing a taste test.
No amount of money would persuade me to try this. ::):

Eating pizza cold is pretty good, especially that final slice you just couldn't finish last night .
I hear the people sing.

Isn't the primary purpose of a microwave to heat up cold pizza??

One and a half minutes on 70% power and it tastes almost as good as when it was freshly made. Yum!

The 'lasandwich'! I fear our civilisation has just jumped the shark :o

Was I the only person who didn't enjoy the Rod Stewart gig last night. It was soulless, corporate rock and with the crowd doing much of the singing, rather like karaoke.
We had free tickets but I want my money back!
