The Tour de France.

Yachting
Hot Air Ballooning
Hunting
Marathon Running

It would probably be easier to formulate a list of sports where you can see the field of action or play. I would like to go to a Grand Prix but I always say no because I think it would be disappointing. Far better to sit at home or in the pub and watch it. I'd probably do Monaco at some point but I'd want my son to be at an age where he could enjoy all that Monte Carlo has to offer.

Me too. I've never been to a Formula One event and given the prices and complaints about Silverstone, I don't feel I've missed anything. For Monaco, you need a friend with a balcony...

Better still, get yourself to the Goodwood Festival of Speed. You can get up close to the cars and watch them going up the hill-climb. There are cars of all ages and drivers of all ages. They stage it between Grands Prix and many of the current F1 drivers turn up to show of the latest hardware. Schumacher was too special, but Eddie Irvine was there in '96 and I watched him put the last of the V12 Ferraris up the hill. That screaming red bolide will haunt me 'til my dying day.

I still watch it but TBH i prefer touring cars or being at knockhill for a club meeting, better atmosphere and far better racing and a great bunch of lads to work with as marshals

oh and at the hill from duffus (1st corner) you can see most of the track ::):
