Loved the Mo Mowlam docu/drama on Sunday. Fell about laughing at some of the lines.

Bridie,

I was all set to tune in but then a few things cropped up and so I missed it.
Wonder if it is to be repeated or on iplayer at all?

This charming thread is starting to remind me of that Ladies of Letters series that used to be on Radio 4.

:D

I googled

I'm the one with the chips and curlers on my head  Apparently the dialogue could get quite heated with accusations thrown back and forwards. Can't wait! :D

Ah, pokes of chips. Them were the days.

That's the second backcombing photo you've posted today, btw. I sense a fetish in the making.

Bridie,

I am now up-to-date and watched the Mo Mowlam programme last night.
There were some very sad bits in it but some funny lines too.
I liked the bit where she follows Adam Ingram into the toilets and also some of the moments when she is
talking to doctors and consultants at hospital.

I was wondering where I had seen that Scottish guy who played Adam Ingram before and I think it was in
an episode of 'Taggart'.
I thought the man who played Michael Stone was quite a good likeness with his hairstyle and all.

Autolycus,

Thanks for the link.
It was 'Billy Elliott' film I had completely forgotten about.

So Adam Ingram was elected MP for EK, Strathaven and Lesmahagow.
Have been to Strathaven but never heard of Lesmahagow.

WHIT? Never heard of Lesmahagow? Your education has obviously been sadly lacking. Unlike mine, which took place partially in Lesmahagow.

Bridie,

Wee bit warmer here today and even a bit of blue sky though icy windscreens on Thursday.

Youngest son got back from school trip to Paris on Wednesday night and said it was really cold over there.
Really enjoyed himself and especially trip to Disney and cruise on River Seine.
