Postby glasgowken » Tue Dec 02, 2008 12:00 pm

Fuckin icey isn't it ? :? It rained during the night, the result was a glass like sheet of ice over everything.
Couldn't go anywhere today, would have broke my neck (dont cheer).

Yes, it's feckin treacherous out! Nearly went on my arse a good few times on the (usually 5 minute) 20 minute trek to my doctors surgery. I took to walking on the roads which were slightly less glacial. Phoned my Granny and told her not to go out today. She has deep snow out her way (Kirky) so was already considering staying in.

I nearly crashed my car this morning. Lost control on ice and ended up going through oncoming traffic onto the pavement on the wrong side of the road. I came to a stop parallel with a garden wall with inches to spare.

Not a mark on the car but the stains on the seat will take some time to clean. :)

Just phoned the cooncil and told them to get their arses in gear and get some grit out there. Last year you couldn't move for gritters but I haven't seen any at all this autumn.
