Thanks jodie.

I know you had gone through this yourself a while back with your own relations.

I quite agree with you about 2011 not being a good year for many folk.
One of my friends lost her teaching job when they closed the school due to falling numbers etc and I know several
others who had family troubles with illness, losing loved ones etc.

I think I must make a New Year resolution not to post so much rubbish on here.

As you say onwards and upwards.

Don't be silly, Dot. We always look forward to the next instalment of the tribulations of hubby's golf slacks. And anyway, we haven't heard from you for three months.

Hello Dot Happy New Year. Nice to see you back as well. Beginning to think I was the sole Norn Iron rep here
Sorry to hear about the misfortunes of last year.
Now if I was to stop posting rubbish on here - I wouldn't be here!*

This thread was (I assume) originally intended as a vent for those describing the effects of their disease.

It's rapidly turning into a cure.

You guys .. :D

It seems laying off the booze, exercising more (NOT to DS's level admittedly!) and "thinking positively" hasn't been enough to keep my Dog at bay.

It seems a trip to the quack beckons, sooner rather than later preferably. History suggests to leave things much longer will be ……… silly.

Yep, silly - that's the word.

I'll be 50 next month - coincidence?
