Safe money is on Obama.

I won't go to sleep until I hear the result. I remember doing the same last time and how I felt once the result came through.

C,moan Obama. I will be working night shift so so I will have the radio tuned in. Met some Americans last week and the election was a major part of the conversation. They were extremly happy to discover that the Europeans seem to favour Obama. They were also smart enough to know that the USA has fallen out of favour with the with most of the western world and relised that with Obama being elected will allow USA to hopfully gain a better world wide reputation for as a more Lieral minded country .
A wee quicky. An American arrives in the UK , at passport control he is asked " Occupation " No he replies just visting" .
boom boom. ::):
Thank you. And why not.

There's a noticeable trend in the HG poll results so far...

I have felt sorry for more 'liberal' Americans in the past few years, and I've met quite a few who have pretty much fled the place for Europe. (An ex of mine from Vermont even seems set on renouncing his US citizenship, though he is a bit doolally.) If McCain and that heidcase running mate do get in I bet there'll be a fair few more. It might be a good thing in the Current Financial Climate © - a bit of extra income through taking in exiled American lodgers.

With you there. Don't we ever get it drummed into us what a cool and wonderful place the USA is? Hmm. I run a newsdesk elsewhere and I get a lot of LGBT news from that part of the world. It's the dark ages. I swear that in certain parts of the nation they still eat their young. "Land of the Free", my eye. "Land of the Free-for-All".
