Indeed

Anyway back to the subject, Christopher Parker? I haven't seen much regular work since Eastenders and he has the geeky look about him. I sure someone will power up Wikipedia and tell me different.

I have a feeling that in these PC times, that the next doc will be either a black person or a female. I personally have nothing against black people or females (being one myself), but think it is an insult to either to be given a job because of what they are rather than who they are.

(PS, My granny lived in Ralston and considered it to be Paisley, and I thought David Tennant came from Bathgate, and that his parents moved to Paisley when he was older)

Maybe David Oyelowo then, still thinking of a fitting lass for the gig.

(p.s. PA1 postcode, being Paisley Town Centre, and having to put Paisley in your address normally means you live in Paisley. I powered up the all powerful wikipedia and found this)

His father was a vicar in one of the churches in bathgate.

Indeed! His dad christened a friend of mine, in Bathgate. (Most tenuous claim to fame ever?) Said friend got massively into Crowley later on, so I guess it didn't work.

For the new Doctor, I suppose Russell Brand's right out of it now? James Nesbitt would be pretty damn good, I reckon.

Girls at work were talking about this today during teabreak.
Some of them don't seem to like Jimmy Nesbitt and I am not sure whether he would be suitable in part or not.
I do like him in most things he has appeared in so perhaps he deserves a chance.

One thing we did agree on was that nobody could take Catherine Tate seriously in the programme as most people just think of her as some characters she did in her comedy show.

A female option might be Katrina Bryan.

I'm sorry if I appear dinosaur-esque here but a female Doctor is just not on.

Does the term 'vicar' exist in the Church of Scotland?

Don't know about Scotland and I am not a religious expert but can tell you term does exist in Church of Ireland.
My youngest son who is 12 sings in a choir at Belfast Cathedral.

The vicar would be less important person than the main man who is the Dean.

Think you may get vicars in Scottish Episcopal Church which is Anglican like Church of England and Church of Ireland.
Church of Scotland seems to be Presbyterian.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Correct someone from NI on the subject of religion? Perish the thought.
