A hint. Don't phone - email so you have a record of the report. cc your local councillor in on the email (so the cleansing types know you're serious). Tell them the doors are still attached (lie if need be) and that you've seen kids climbing in and out. It'll probably be gone in 24 hours.

Thanks Onyirtodd, good tip, the call centre number's just a shortcut to apoplexy. Though my councillors already treat me as if I write in green ink...................

Hows about getting a couple of anonymous email addresses and complaining about the fridges from all of them?

Clicking the 'quote' button ought to do it.

Edited to add. Once you've moaned about the fridges (or whatever) and they've been removed; don't forget to email and say thanks. It will stand you in god stead next time.

Tempting................. but maybe complaints by Anon aren't such a good thing?

Now that would be a bonus - seriously though, in the past I've emailed to thank the one councillor who's responded/got something to happen, and cc'd the three other deadbeats who haven't even acknowledged my original message - just being polite you know, keeping them informed so they can stop all that activity they haven't been telling me about.

Where I live people are required to remove the fridge doors before putting them out on the kerb. Looking at that site, it isn't the case in Glasgow?

You are required to remove them as children have died in fridges. It's been a while so the lazy bastards in Partick don't know the law.

Even if they knew the law I doubt it'd make onny difference.

In Partick they do the bulk uplifts on a set day each week for different streets...could be that they were put out for uplift but were missed because it fell on a strike day
