anyone in a reasonably knowledgable position about the in and outs of getting trade certification papers whilst not havign to give up the job of which you need the papers for?

It all depends what you do . RTITB for motor ind. CITD construction. These are the best people for trade questions. There are other trade bodies but you wll have to let us know what the job is.

I'm in the motor trade.
I work on everything from bikes to buses, cars to trucks.
Only thing is I have no papers and I need them to get a abroad and do the work.
The main issue is I work 60 hours a week.

Chris H you can email the RTITB. You could also contact London City and Guilds.Both are available via email. If you go through the sreen you will find the correct department for lost certificates.
