One to annoy the ladies.

Every now and again I hear talk of ladies complaining about us
men failing to replace the toilet seat after we've finished widdling.
(it's as old as the lavvies themsel this horror of horror)

Apparently you ladies detest having to touch the seat, and I have
to say I can understand your sentiments, I mean it's not very pleasant
having to handle a cold lavvie seat...is it.
Incidentally I'm not a guilty one...honest.

But the big question that puzzles me though is that if you ladies don't like
touching the toilet seat, is it you, dear ones, who neglet to replace the toilet
"lid" when you've finished your ablutions.

Is it you, oh fairer ones' of the sexes, who leave the lid up, open, and leaning against
the cistern instead of being replaced neatly back on the seat again???

This is very serious!!!!!

Not only is leaving the lid up too bad practice,it is bad feng shui! I havent seen an upended lid in any female house ive been in - who wants to look at blue/green/yellow (insert favourite loo cleaner colour here) water?

It's also bad news for budgies who try to land on the seat only to find their wee claws have no purchase on the shiny seat and proceed to slide at speed down into the watery hole.

I'm pleased to say after dabbing the wee man down with a dry flannel and a couple of hours in front of the fire, flights were resumed later that evening.

Never thought of feng shui's influence in the toilet before.

It's a matter of hygiene as well. Never mind staring at bright coloured water, what about wee and poo stains and keeping bad smells in the pan, not letting them out. Fair enough, toilet cleaning should occur more often in my house, but I refuse to do it cos it ain't my mess!
The mother-out-law leaves the lid and seat in the upright position which really drives me mad. Instead of asking hubby and sons to do the right thing, she just gives in to their bad manners. Causes no end of fights in my house.

I wouldn't complain so much if someone else cleaned the pan, but to have to clean it AND put the seat up and down. It's just no fair!

True Nanny. I saw a documentary once about airborne faecal deposits in the toilet. Disgusting it was. They then went on to demonstrate the miniscule faecal deposits that are released when farting and how some make it through the fabric of a pair of black dress trousers.

They measured the fart-induced faecal deposits on a range of underwear and found wummin's g-strings to have the most traces, undoubtedly due to the garment's positioning up the sheugh.

Confession time.

A couple of years ago I was in the pub with a few friends and one of them had recently moved in with his then girlfriend. We all went back to their flat after closing time slightly the worse for wear. I went to the toilet for a pee and all seemed to be going as normal as first but I noticed that the stream of pee didn't seem to be getting in the bowl and was going all over the toilet. In my drunken befuddlement it took me a few moments to realise that was happening.............They has a transparent toilet seat and cover which I hadn't noticed and I was peeing all over the top of the lid..

What a stupid thing to have in a toilet.
