In all seriousness, although this is an isolated case, placing people on the S.O.R. for trivia like this will eventually discredit the register. Clearly though there must be more to the story. On the face of what we've been able to glean it's hard to see exactly what offence he committed.

However, not to get too bogged down in meaningful debate, the man is obviously a CRANK, possible caught up in a disturbed CYCLE of behaviour as part and parcel of some mental illness. No doubt his sentence will help him REFLECTOR upon his actions and perhaps face the future with a better BEARING upon his position in society and FREEWHEEL towards a better future...

Of course I could be wrong and the man is a complete Cyclepath.

(yes, you're right, I'm very sad, easily amused, have no social life and the intellect and emotional maturity of an 11 year old) :D

Well if you would like to give it a new home, it's sitting in Sandyford Place Lane :)

(I also passed that wee building with the 'Venus' sign in the window :? I suddenly thought 'that looks familiar')

The cleaners forced their way in and unfortunately he pled guilty to breach of the peace. What was the procurator fiscal up to and what legal advice was guy given.

The debate continues.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/glasgow_and_west/7098116.stm

More than a million people have read the story on the BBC news website and it has been hotly debated on forums elsewhere.

One contributor asked: "Would they have done the same to a woman with a sex toy?
"I before E, except after C" works in most cases but there are exceptions.

At a guess I would say the Fiscal didn't give a shit, as he pleaded guilty it was obviously an easy case, but the fact the police arrested him in the first place is ridiculous.
And whoever gave him that advice to plead guilty probably didn't care about the case either. If it was a junior lawyer in a firm you can imagine the sniggers from the rest of the office, so he or she probably just wanted rid of it.

That's a thing that puzzles me... down here, even if you plead guilty, you go to trial and might even come out of it innocent! (i.e a a several years constantly beaten women, killed her husband while he assaulted here once again, she pleaded guilty of killing him and was acquited!)
Also, any confession made to the police is almost irrelevant in court (after all, the state must be able to prove that the accused is indeed guilty)
For me, a judicial system that simply accepts the plead of guilty of an accused, it isn't bothering in making justice!

I know the legal system down here ain't the best, (the criminals aren't the best too so they easily balance each other!), but then, where in the world there is a perfect legal system!
Regards

I heard that previously this guy went into a pub with a wee strip of tarmac. He asked the barman for a pint for himself and a whisky for the wee strip of tarmac. The barman said "are you at the wind-up?"

The guy said "sheesh, don't agravate him - he's a cyclopath"

No? :?
