A. Wiiiiii can be fun - highest up the wall etc
B. Wiiiiing in groups might be classed as odd, although if you do it online, someone somewhere will watch

in all honesty the Wii is as its name, pish.

The 360 is the better machine in regards to controls, graphics and games.

Wii is great if your playing with 4 naked girls at a drunken birthday party but aside from that its pretty poor. the implementation of the controller in many games is very poor.

If you want a console that you can play on your own and with a great selection of games and more to come then go for the 360.

If you want cheap though then a nintendo 64 and goldeneye/mario kart on 4 player is great as is the dreamcast for multuiplayer games.

Dunno if you'll get this in time Fossil but at 11am this morning there's a programme on Bravo (NTL#137) called "The gamers guide to Wiii. It'll be repeated at noon on Bravo+1 (NTL#138)

Wii makes a great piece of party fun. There were 12 of us playing one game on a friend's a few weeks ago. And it was a good laugh.

For games selection and possibly playing on your own too, Xbox 360 is the winner though.

Neither. Spend the money on beer and cloths.

It is, without doubt, the PS3 mate.

Microsoft's Exxen Boxxen is a big old pile of shite in my opinion probably about as reliable as a Sinclair C5. My brother's had three show the dreaded red rings of death.

Add to that the fact that Microsoft charge like a wounded buffalo for absolutely everything over and above the basic 'play the game straight out of the box on 1-player mode' and you've got a recipe for disappointment.

Graphics wise I have to say the exxen boxxen may slightly have the edge but that's only due to the fact it's been in game developers hands for a longer time period and they're managing to find out new ways to stretch the beast. Give the PS3 a couple more months and things will undoubtedly change.

In short, if it's cutting edge multiplayer gaming you're after then you should be handing over your sweaty readies for the PS3 and nothing else. Use your smarts and seek out the newer slim-line version though .. it runs quieter, cooler and looks much, much prettier.

It used to make more sense to buy the older model old shape PS3s as they were all fully backward compatible (the newer PS3's of both chunky and slimline varieties aren't - go figure) but they're pretty thin on the ground these days.

I have a Wii too, great console for those who are not overly into the intense gaming like halo etc, and want some fun with friends and family.

I have Sean Whites snowboarding and play it a lot.
