Was watching bits of the US rehash of Life on Mars. Seemed peculiarly humourless compared with the original (which I liked an awful lot, once I got past the really silly premise).
It looks so solemn on the TV.

The Scars. Possibly the best support band ever. "Follow that, ya bastard!" They seldom could.

(aside) And in a Scottish accent too. How rare is that?

"it's just that, in 1979, people shouldn't be allowed to get away with this sort of thing."

Not a golfer but just watching Darren Clarke after his win today at Royal St. Georges.
Think he is a deserving winner after some of the things he has had to deal with in last few years.

It's a delight sure enough Banjo. I hadn't thought of that song for 25 years until the other day, couldn't believe it all came back to me :-)

'Suilean Coimheach' on BBC Alba last night updated a mid-70s programme about the West Highland Free Press and 7:84 Company.
It's well worth watching on i-Player but DON'T PANIC - it's mostly in English with sub-titles for the hard of Gaelic.

Durachdan,

Eddy

Siobhan Redmond reading from Gavin Knight's book Hood Rat.

"Journalist Gavin Knight reports from the frontline of Glasgow's ganglands. This serialisation taken from his new book 'Hood Rat' follows the efforts of Karyn McCluskey recently appointed as head of intelligence at Strathclyde police force. Karyn is determined to understand the stories behind the horrifying statistics of violent knife crime and murder."

It's Book of the Week on BBC Radio 4.

::):

I left because I couldn't afford to buy a house in the late 90's.
I first went in 1980 escaping from London every weekend that I could however moved permanently and rented then house prices shot up to unbelievable prices for an often damp two up two down fishermans cottage so thought I'd go to Ireland and build a house and then sell it and move back - plan didn't work out but I will return :D

Did you like the place?

For those of you who haven't seen it before, the original series of "Flight of the Conchords" starts tonight at 10.15 on SKY Atlantic.

Must see pants wet funny comedy, people.

As you were.
I like him ... He says "Okie Dokie!"
