"Riverdale" on 5 Star.

God knows why, I'm not what you'd call "target audience". But I suppose it's entertaining enough nonsense. Kind of reminds me of "Twin Pears", but without all the weird crap.

On a streaming site, I'm watching "The Rookie". This is Nathan Fillion's new series. His character's a middle aged guy who - for a variety of complicated reasons - suddenly ups stakes, moves to Los Angeles, and joins the LAPD.
Another sunrise with my sad captains, with who I choose to lose my mind,
And if it's all we only pass this way but once, what a perfect waste of time.

Sunderland Til I Die on Netflix.
Illustrates well how infantile and pampered modern football players are.
He advocated for the weak against the strong, the poor against the rich and labour against capital.

Laurel & Hardy in "Busy Bodies" (1933).

Stan and Ollie get jobs at a sawmill. Hilarity ensues. :)

Kojak, season 5.

Hannay, series 1 and 2. This is the spin off/prequel series to the 1978 version of "The 39 Steps", starring Robert Powell as Richard Hannay. I'd forgotten it was all shot on video, looks really cheap.

Due South, season 1.

I went with hubby to see new 'Laurel and Hardy' and thought it was good though there are a few wee sad moments.
Wasn't it interesting to see the great welcome they got during their visit to Ireland?

Yes banjo you probably do need to get out a bit more as do I.
After all you're only young once.

Gideon's Way, series 1.

Rumpole of the Bailey, series 4. No clue why True Entertainment are starting with series 4 of Rumpole, maybe it's a rights thing? Like how for some weird reason they only show seasons 1-9 of M*A*S*H, the first four episodes of season 10, then go right round the horn to season 1 again.

The remake of Das Boot. Pretty good so far and the cast look almost young enough.

Found the pilot movie for George Peppard's 70s series "Banacek" on Vimeo.

I'd vague memories of watching the series when I was a kid in the 70s - I remember the one about the American football player disappearing in the middle of a game in front of a stadium full of spectators, and the one about the room sized computer vanishing, but this episode - armoured car full of gold bullion gets separated from its police escort and (apparently) goes over a cliff in the desert, was new to me.

And on YouTube, I'm watching "Raumpatrouille". Which is basically "Star Trek" (with just a dash of 60s puppet series "Space Patrol"), but in German, and B&W, and with an early 60s "Doctor Who" sized budget.

It's a total hoot! :)
