It was a very sad life but a very good biopic.
He advocated for the weak against the strong, the poor against the rich and labour against capital.

'The One Show,' Friday 27th., had a wee feature about Roy Rogers in Glasgow in 1954. No mention though of him riding Trigger up the Maryhill Rd to visit Eastpark Childrens Home or dropping in at the Blysthwood Cinema on the way.
There is an interview with the man who was the page at the Central Hotel who now claims that Trigger spent the night in the honeymoon suite not the stables on Parliamentary Rd. !

PS - it's about twenty minutes in to the programme if you'd rather not listen to Chris Evan.

Spent the afternoon re-watching some of the movies I loved as a kid.

The Valley of Gwangi (1969).
Warlords of Atlantis (1978).
The Mysterious Island (1961).
Another sunrise with my sad captains, with who I choose to lose my mind,
And if it's all we only pass this way but once, what a perfect waste of time.

We have similar tastes. :)

They really got their money's worth out of that big rubber octopus in Warlords of Atlantis, didn't they? :)

Late as always, I just started the first series of HOMELAND. It's good.

They certainly did. :D

I must say, even now almost 40 years later, the model work in Warlords still looks fantastic.

I gave up at the end of season 2, just wasn't holding my attention.

I've hard that subsequent seasons were a bit rubbish, so I think I'll just skip them and move onto 'The Americans.' I love a bit of Cold War espionage.

I agree about the 'Warlords of Atlantis.' Back when models weren't made of pixels.

Today being the second anniversary of my dad passing away, I watched one of his favourite movies.

Whisky Galore! (1949).

Quite possibly one of the best of the Ealing Comedies.

There's 57 channels and nothing on. Tried the new hit comedy with Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, ' Grace and Frankie' but didn't think much of it despite the great cast.

The BBC documentary SAILOR, which I remember watching as a kid back in 1976. It's great. No background music, no narration, no Brian Cox or Neil Oliver gurning at me. Just point the camera and observe.

"How to be Bohemian", tomorrow night, BBC4, 9pm

Worth watching for Victoria Coren, the thinking man's crumpet, at the very least.

I like him ... He says "Okie Dokie!"
