You can't

There is ways to 'rip' them off youtube, but I'm not really willing to disclose how to on a public forum

there are a number of websites that'll do this for you if you type the correct combination if words into google

i have a good one bookmarked at home but i'm at work at the moment so can't help just now - only prob is that it saves youtube files as .flv. You can get Flv players though I just use VLC player but unfortunately it won't let you flick through them.

But an outsider coming across this forum topic could, in theory, be someone who works for You Tube or the like, and they could sue th forum owners for breach of copyright, or encouraging a breach.

Like they would really care, a lot of the stuff on youtube infringes someone else's copyright anyway.

True, but the forum owners still have to run everything legally so they can be 100% blame free. Hence no talk about downloading music or films off illegal sites, etc etc

Firefox 2 also has a built in video downloader for downloading from Youtube, Google Video and loads more.

Exactly... this is why I'm not willing to publicly post instructions.

All I will say is, when you know how, its really really simple and doesnt need complex software. Just something to convert them to a friendly format perhaps

I think the point has been made now. Although it could have simply been answered with PM me, or do a search.
