I googled "bug house" and looked at the images. Some of your would-be tenants look quite scary. 8O

Hope you get a nice family of bumble bees :)

Dot, it's the only way to drink red wine without it coming back down your nose, the colder the better to be honest. Having said that, I'm not a fine wine man, I'm more the three bottles for a tenner type.

That's the plan. :D
Then they can pollinate my tomato plants.

I put some echinacea out the back for the butterflies. The bugs have eaten them. Not sure what, but probably caterpillars for the irony.

Would be nice if they did.
We get very few butterflies in our garden, though there were some Red Admirals last year.
I've heard a wee pile of logs in a corner might encourage them.

I'm growing beetroot this year.
Thinking of making beetroot, ginger and almond jam with it if sucessful, beetroot soup with grated potato and if any left might pickle it.

There's an old jar of beetroot in the corner of the kitchen. It's been there for ages. Might be worth a bob or two now that beetroot's all the go...

Today I learned that when trying to learn about Network Intrusion Prevention Systems using NIPS as a google search term is not a good idea.
