I note the use of the Past Tense.

There's almost certainly somewhere in the world where beetroot juice is distilled(?) into alcohol.

Eastern Europe I think and I also think it might be fermented rather than distilled but I'm not sure how I know that.
I've had Beetroot crisps and they are quite good.

Beetroot is also full of antioxidants and free radicals.

A likely story.
In your case you should stop using the sandpaper.

Yes.
A kind of sweet and sour flavour. Very nice with sour cream in it.

I had a lovely evening with the Groover and his better half last night. A wee soirée in the Dowanhill with both me and Dave contributing to the racket.

Tonight I had a sweaty but productive rehearsal with my new band. Another rehearsal next Tuesday and a public rehearsal at Hootenannies next Thursday (to which you are all cordially invited) should see us road ready.

I could really use some new pillows, and debenhams have a sale, but without going into a shop it's impossible to choose from this lot http://goo.gl/10ojv - why are there so many pillow choices...

Many brave men died in the trenches to protect your right to have so many pillow choices. Don't you think you owe it to the and their families to act responsibly in bed related cushion matters? :x

Do you sleep on you back or on your side? Do you like a soft, medium or hard pillow? Do you prefer a single pillow to sleep or two?

I went through all this and found I prefer the relatively inexpensive pillows from IKEA best.
