Visited High Wycombe last week. Spent nine hours on Wednesday having a beautiful Oriental style Phoenix outlined and shaded from my wrist to just above the elbow. Thursday was an easier day, having the upper part of the same (right) arm having an Ed Hardy Oriental style Dragon outlined, shaded and coloured for only seven hours. It will need two, possibly three, more sessions which will require another one or two trips. Both designs make perfect sense and could be simply left as completed but I want to return at this time next year (*) to colour the Phoenix, wrap the image in flames, extend the Dragon down my arm, add cloud effect to that them whatever my tattooist, Sean Wood, thinks will best tie up the designs.
I will post pictures over the next couple of days then once the healing process is completed put better quality images into the tattoo thread. If anyone tells you a story about a half dead looking Glaswegian sleeping/quietly crying in the First Class carriage of a Virgin Train about noon on Friday; reassure them that he is both alive and, mostly well.

(*) - Being tattooed a this time of year allows cold air to naturally cool fresh ink. I find, and it is different for everyone, that having fresh tattoos in the hot, humid, sweaty, warmer months a real pain.
