Worst Joke of 2010

Went to the physio this morning for a cortisone injection into my knackered shoulder as the physio isn't shifting the problem and they were about to inject me (and I mean 'just' .. he had the pipe full, needle on and had was about to 'bombs away!!) when, as an afterthought, the physio said "You're not diabetic, are you?".

"Yes.. " says I, "I've told you twice and it's on the sheet thing I filled in - the one that's stapled to the front page of my notes you've just brought in and laid down without looking at them."

I didn't actually say the last bit of that sentence .. maybe I should have right enough.

Have to go back tomorrow now as they had to sort out a different type of steroid as normal cortisone is liable to turn my blood into golden syrup (something to do with cortisone causing glucose to flood from the liver as part of the anti-inflammatory process)

Hardly fills one with confidence, it has to be said.
