Today I bought a copy of the RCAHMS thirteenth report, on the City of Edinbleeargh (published 1951). Very historical, so it is.

Sounds interesting, not purchased any RCAHMS stuff since crimbo.

Today i enjoyed deleting lots of pish posts and sleeping. Being removal woman in a heatwave isnt a good idea.

After a wee bit interwebbing tonight I was genuinely surprised there wasn't a similar volume for Glasgow. (Though a hell of a lot was demolished, says he not being sarcastic. Glasgow Improvement Act of 1866 and all that.)

It's part of the engine of a Battle of Britain-era Hawker Hurricane, as piloted by Flight Sergeant A L McNay (who may or may not be a relative).

They found the wreck of the plane a few years ago, but they never found any trace of him...
