After having no cable / broadband / or telephone most of the day Ntl have finally go the finger out and partially fixed it
It's been affecting users in G12/G13/G14/G15 post code areas since around 11:00 this morning.
So what have I been doing all day - well after spending the first hour or so climbing the walls without my fix - took the mutt for a walk - had lunch then spent about 6 hours really gutting the place it was long over due (the joys of shiftwork) and now just as i sat down my TV burst into life and the cable modem started flickering away but guess what....i'm too tired to do anything.
Still no phone though

Clydebank was down too.
NTL is getting bad for that these days. North Glasgow was down a couple of weeks ago.
The hill goes up and down.

Ever try cancelling a call out using their mobile text service. Un-f**kin-believable!!!
Took a further 5 calls to the damn no-helpline to FINALLY get them to stop sending out reminders to my moby.

Just to bring up this old chestnut they have done it again most of Glasgow and Belfast has been out since 16:00 and is just comming back online now. Must have been pretty major as all of the city had no telly.
Anyone else in the same boat tonight or was it just me.

I never noticed a problem last night Yokerbloke - broadband was ok, and im fairy certain my telly was ok, but can't remember 100% - was busy preparing a presentation last night and getting myself worked up over making a complete arse of myself in front of the UK Directors this morning.

I read in the Evening Spews that a cable was cut through and they brought the back up system into play, which crossed the Irish Sea and that backup got cut too and that's why you are lost NTL.

It'll just be Virgin's helpline you will be left on hold for instead of Ntl's.
Yeah, got that Black 'expensively' designed and produced booklet the other day! Hope Virgin Media are gonna step up the quality a bit.
Not that I've had anyt real probs with NTL so far. Been with them for almost 5 years now.

Take a good book to read while you are hanging about.
