Internet - TTNS

Postby harg7769 » Wed Apr 28, 2004 9:50 pm

I remember using a system called TTNS - The Times Network for Schools from school in 6th year, so that would have been 1986. Computers were the old BBCs. Bulletin board style, but it fascinated me that I could talk to people over a screen.

After that I had e-mail etc at Uni....

I can't remember if it was 94 or 95 that I started using Apple eWorld, which was essentially a re-branded version of AOL, but with much cuter graphics, and a friendlier service. Very nice to use, but it closed in 1996, which is when we made the giant leap to the Internet, with Paisley's Colloquium - who are still around today, as it happens.
