Road traffic accidents are no laughing matter but as this Bearsden 'cresh' illustrates sometimes you can't help but laugh.
An air of Ealing comedy in this pic for sure. ::):

Yer Da's a disgrace...

Postby Pgcc93 » Wed Nov 30, 2005 2:41 am

We can all make the odd faux pas at some point of our lives to err' is to be human afterall.

But to do so in front of 80,000+ strangers at Hampden Park during an auld enemy fixture is just criminal as Jimmy the Jaiket found out.

Image

Arrested for crimes against style & decency, Jimmy has obviously stylised himself on 70's sitcom character George Roper of George & Mildred fame. (NB: Kids, ask yer Granny;-)

Not content with 'getting the jail' our Jimmy wants to give it big lick's like a scene from a Broadway musical as he is led away by two of Glasgows finest for an inevitable kicking in the back of a meatwagon parked nearby.

gaun yersel Jimmy...!

A spokeswoman for Strathclyde police confirmed that only one arrest was made within the grounds and that two officers were treated in hospital for several broken ribs they received due to excessive hilarity encountered whislt trying to beat a confession out of a prisoner in the confines of a transit van. source: Picture Post

The year is 1977, the country is gripped by power cuts, a firebrigade strike, Reo Stakis saw his nice big Hotel burn doon, Margo Macdonald turned heads and Scotland were on the verge of World Cup Disaster.
But who thought up the idea of having their own fire engine?

Mr Robot

Postby Pgcc93 » Wed Nov 30, 2005 1:29 pm

Argyle Street December 1950 saw Mr Robot wow the Saturday shoppers as he jerked in a robotic way to the music from his gramaphone.
Little did he know then that this would be a tradition that would pass down through several generations of his family.
Today his grandson can still bee seen irritating Saturday shoppers with an updated version of his Grandfathers routine amongst the 'three per furra £1' sportsock vendors and illegal immigrants selling battery operated dogs.
