I'm going to see them on Wednesday in Edinburgh. But apparently the drummer Brian has pulled out of the tour so it'll just be Amanda. A bit disappointing as they are so great together on stage.

cabaret-punk

surely the best genre of music, eh?

Got quite into them after catching a live version of Coin Operated Boy late one night on Radio 1, pity I'm working when they're playing, bah!

Ah, funny, "Coin-operated boy" is what got me into it too. Brilliant song isn't it. I always thought it would be a perfect anthem for another Glasgow jewel called Sharmanka (http://www.sharmanka.com) on King Street. Well, I wonder if she'll ask if someone in the crowd wants to replace drummer Brian.

The gig... wasn't, not for me anyway. I was literally walking out of my flat when I got a phone call asking me if I could do an urgent translation. Saying no wasn't an option, so I stayed in and earned the equivalent of 10 Dolls tickets, which was a cosolation.
