This is so great, I can see my desk surface now!

I can confidently say that, after having bought a new PC, I will never see my desk surface again. I have added to the general pile:

More books about the Boer War, some of which might even be interesting to the passing layman;
several hundred CD-Rs, all containing information and backed-up files which I may or may not be able to access;
half a packet of fruit shortcake biscuits;
an empty pint glass which used to have Irn-Bru in it;
a pair of scissors;
ten different issues of a 100-year old magazine (the issues are 100 years old I mean, the magazne has long since faded into obscurity);
some photo-quality paper (though where it is I have no idea);
a drinks coaster (there might actually be two of these);
several piles of photocopied stuff from the Mitchell Library;
two staplers, neither of which I can find.
Oh, and I just found my digital camera under a newspaper.

Given the amount of cr@p in this room, I wouldn'tr be surprised to find the head of Alfredo Garcia in here.

Anyone good at tidying up? I'll give you a tenner if you can help me find the floor......

Jesus... Here goes.

I have (left to right-ish...)

a few piles of recently-used cds/dvds.
A mouse.
A usb hub/card reader.
a microsoft MCE remote receiver.
A keyboard.
A couple of mp3 players.
A monitor (17" CRT)
more cds.
The "mini" end of a usb cable (for one of the mp3 players)
A firstweek ticket.
A few bits of piercing jewelry.
starburst wrappers.
half a can of cherry coke.
my notepad (full of nonsense that pops into my head that's worth writing down).
about 30p in change.
a cd pen.
a DVD film, "rabid".
a packet of 16 ibuprofen.
some AAA batteries.
various bumf and leaflets that came with my mp3 player and camera.
The remote for my tv card (dunno where the MCE remote has got to, mind you. Wish they'd incorporated something like on my old sony TV. Press a button on the set, the remote beeps).

Around the desk though, it's all plates and half-finished bottles of juice, a greggs bag, cups, glasses, my bag, yet another remote control, and jesus christ only knows what else. I actually have 3 remotes, JUST FOR MY PC. what's that all about?
