Can anyone recommend a plumber? The people I normally use are booked out for the next few months solid.

Cheers

Ta. I phoned and the guys are coming out next week. This is the 3rd set of plumbers I have working on the house at the moment. I will need to start a nightshift.

All of this because of a tiny water leak underground which, over several months, caused a massive dry rot problem. I could have built a new house for what the rebuilding work is costing.

I can fix computers, do a wee bit of web stuff and will service any type of bicycle in return for a case of lager.

(This is of no use whatsoever to anyone looking for a plumber, although some bikes I've serviced look like they were made of gas pipes)

Not really a homer (or maybe it is?) but does anyone know where in Glasgow to get traditional tiles like these cream coloured ones?

And can anyone reccomend a plasterer to do a full close, top to bottom?

Cheers :)

Does anyone know any reliable handymen? I have a list of random jobs needing doing at my work - from breaking a door down and fitting a new yale lock to changing some lightbulbs, fixing a door handle ... ideally someone we could call on when we have new jobs coming up.

Did have one but he has gone AWOL!

Thanks

You probably know this but when you break down a door the lock and staple often survive intact - the wood gives way before the metal.

That means you can reuse the lock and get full security back by merely changing the barrel mechanism. Much cheaper.

Aha! I didn't know that, thanks! But the problem is the lock is jammed - it's not a yale lock just now, one of those door handley ones. So we want to fit a yale lock instead to stop it happening again and also stop people peeking thru
