The advantages of largely ignoring cinema. This from 2010; is it still the case, I wonder?

Shuggy and Boaby are on their bikes one morning and decide to meet up for a pint on the canal.

They are 100 miles apart and Shuggy cycles at a steady 10 mph, Boaby at a faster 15mph.

On Shuggy's handlebars sits a bumble bee. When Shuggy sets off, the Bumble bee lifts off and flies along the towpath until it meets Boaby, at which point it turns around and flies back to Shuggy at which point it repeats the process, all the while flying at a steady 20mph.

How far has the bee flown in total by the time the lads meet at the pub?

I dunno if I'm right, but after much algebra (which didn't work) I went with the following:

Forget trying to find out the distances each bike travels and the point at which they meet up and instead concentrate on their relative speed.

10mph in one direction and 15mph makes a closing speed of 25mph.

They do the relative speed of 25 mph over 100miles, so they travel for 4 hours before they meet up.

The bee is doing a constant 20mph for that 4 hours, back and forth, so d=(sT) = (20 x 4) = 80 miles.

I could be talking shite, mind.
