Five Sisters Zoo fire

My brother relayed an amusing little anecdote regarding this incident during this mornings visit.

He was speaking to someone who is friends with a fireman covering the area, and thusly, the incident in question.

Apparently when the shout went out, a certain Station Officer came from the incident room and announced over the tannoy "Fire in progress at Five Sisters Zoo. Full complement, make ready 3 pumps complete with breathing apparatus. Fire description - one elephant, well alight"

I would have thought an elephant a most useful beast for putting out a fire, provided water is at hand. You'd expect it to put out its own flames. Bizarre call, all the same.

dicky,thirty seconds i lasted before falling off the chair.one flew over the knitted vest.that is the funniest thing i have seen in a very long time.im going to the pub now to recover.every time i hear that song i think of the movie ...so i married an axe murderer.not now methinks.

This is a fun wee game using google streetview and maps. I have varied wildly from closest estimate of 9km to furthest of about 14,000!

I try not to move down the street from the original point, and certainly never use google search to help me oh no definitely not.
