That episode aired in 1999. Deayton departed in 2002.

I made no inclination as to the voracity of the script .. the clue is in the title of the thread.

Not quite funny, but hopefully interesting.

We have started a forum based web site called 'Project Hawick,' which intends to record and discuss all aspects of the town of Hawick and life in the Scottish Borders.

Direct link here: http://projecthawick.forumatic.com

Please feel free to view our work in progress or join as a member and contribute whatever you can to this fledgling site.

It is not competition for excellent sites like this either!

Any issues or questions can be directed to me via P.M. :D

Courtesy of the late, lamented David Foster Wallace, you'll never look at a lobster the same way again:

Pah. You're just trying to provoke me into making a post about the mighty DFW.

There's a bit of deconstructive stuff about DFW doing the rounds at the moment. It doesn't bother me - his non-fiction has, and will, survive the test of time.

To say the very least, the best articles ever published on lobster consumption (see LP's post), tennis, and cruise ships.

And running neck-and-neck with Hunter S Thompson for the best U.S. Presidential election article.

The fiction is a matter of taste.

Dare I say it, lobster came up in conversation. I'm not sure I can even try it, after what he wrote.

Not sure I want to know. In fact, I don't care. His writing (as much as I've read) was highly entertaining, immensely though-provoking (as if those are separate), and he could have spent his off time taunting puppies for all I care.

He didn't allegedly taunt puppies, I hope?
