Anyone on Blueyonder? If so your connection speed may have been upgraded. I noticed last night that mine was downloading at 250kbps :)

I got all giddy like.

I used this Speed Test to confirm and I was indeed faster than 2meg DSL.

There is no fucking ADSL in my area yet and 'TeleWest' can't dig up my driveway to sling in a cable so:

Virgin Unmetered Dial Up:

Up: 36.6k-BITS
Down: 47.7 k-BITS

Time taken to run a windows update: Fucking phone numbers mate!

:-(

Just keep thinking about how good ADSL will feel after months on dial up... it'll be like getting it for the first time again!

Yeah, I remember that feeling.

Say goodbye to waiting for a page to load.

Although, the amount of downloading I'm doing means that my performance is slowing up and it seems like I'm on dialup at times!

I was going to sign up for the 2MB trial that BT are offering, but alas I sat on my arse for too long and it's full.

I can see an upgrade to 1MB soon though, I'm beginning to tap my finger at 512.

Do BT not levy a manditory download limit of 1G a month ?

Fuck that - I'd use 1G in about a three days.
