saw some of it - could never make up my mind whether I liked Maddy Prior's voice or not - suppose that means i don't.

Listen to Born Too Late for Sunday Oldies with Felonious Munk .

Noon till Two on Sunny Govan radio 103.5 FM in Glasgow and online at

Fopp are doing Elvis film soundtracks at £3 per CD so expect a couple of rarely heard songs along with requests for Helen Shapiro and Jackie DeShannon, this week’s Motown medley and a new dance (or maybe revived old one). There’ll be a look at the Sunday Papers, and a look back at an event from this week in a year from the fifties or sixties. And expect to hear some great chart records from that week.

Maddy Prior has great stage presence, especially in Steeleye, but when I hear the intro to any of Sandy's songs I expect to hear her voice - not a tribute, no matter how good.

a couple of tracks from Virgil & the Accelerators (working man & the 88) - the Radium. Virgil McMahon is only 20 or so. Amazing guitarist.
Found an old track on itunes - Clark Hutchinson - free to be stoned
some Smokey Robinson - tracks of my tears / I second that emotion / tears of a clown
Muse - 2nd law. Muse are a band who should tick all the boxes for me. a bit rock - a bit prog. But somehow they don't quite do it.
Mark Tremonti - all I was - great guitarist - surprisingly good singer - subtle as a brick. great stuff.

This week’s show has a look at teenage fashion including Bobby sox, peg pants, green jeans, knee socks black sacks and of course blue suede shoes and penny loafers. We’ll be taking a look back at a certain even on the 28th November in a year gone by and play some records from that week’s chart. We’ll squeeze in two from Elvis, a Motown medley and a dance record based on potatoes.

This week’s show has a whole pile of records he forgot to play last week. We’ll be taking a look back at a certain event on the 3rd December in a year gone by and play some records from that week’s chart. We’ll squeeze in two from Elvis, a Motown medley and a dance record with shouted instructions.

Wouldn't it be nice
To get on with me neighbours
But they make it very clear
They've got no room for ravers

There’ll be a look at today’s papers, a gig guide particularly for music fans on free gigs and some tips for going out with a works Christmas party.

As silly as it is, for some reason I've been listening to this on and off for what seems like half the day, being The Real Tuesday Weld - The Day Before You Came:

This post gave me a slight shiver of memory because I worked with her brother Dave who was an engineer during the construction of the Barbican. He also died tragically young in a traffic accident.
