By slight coincidence, Sleater-Kinney and Fred Schneider - Angry Inch:

I loved the film "Slapshot" when I was younger ; one of the best songs on the soundtrack was this Northern Soul gem:

Me too, although I can remember little enough about it, let alone the soundtrack.

You blew it with Hansi Last.

Pere Ubu, I haven't seen since the tour with the Gang of Four some years ago. I recollect that I had difficulty getting up for nursery school the following day. May well see you there.

The Fall play Cruiser's Creek on the Tube. One the best guitar riffs ever and a drum backing to go with it.

"I before E, except after C" works in most cases but there are exceptions.

I'm listening to a band my mate's son is playing in. If you like Ryan Adams, this will be right up your street:

That's good stuff, HJ. Really enjoyable and I particularly like the track "My Father's Eyes". Here's a wee crowd of my old mates with a tribute to a famous Scottish newsreader from last decade. I give you Coatbridge's worst - and it's not Hue & Cry.... http://www.myspace.com/theturkeybrothers
