Figured out how to embed again!* To celebrate, here's P J Harvey and her noisy pals in 1995 - My Naked Cousin:

*The secret and very complicated method for doing so may be disclosed on payment of a suitable fee.

"St. Louis Blues March" - Glenn Miller and his orchestra.

Always had a bit of a soft spot for Big Band music. No idea why.
Another sunrise with my sad captains, with who I choose to lose my mind,
And if it's all we only pass this way but once, what a perfect waste of time.

Live music is almost always better with an on-stage dancer. With the possible exception of Sibelius. Nirvana doing Breed in some theatre in 1991:

"Purple Rain" by the Waterboys on BBC Radio Scotland's 'Get it on' show. Great stuff, never heard it before.

"Alien Abduction Probe" - Hayseed Dixie.

Late at night, I sit alone. Starin' at the Twilight Zone, with a sawed-off shotgun in my hand.
Drinkin' cheap wine an' gettin' plastered, waitin' for them grey-green bastards.
It's the only way to make them understand...

"Good Morning Starshine" by Oliver. I tell you - back in the day you couldn't even get a seat on the Blue train from Helensburgh to Partick for all the Peace and Love stowing out the coaches. I nominate Glasgow 1968/69 as being the definitive HG Era. Who can forget the very Tongs themselves donning their kaftans and beads and getting mellow on Glasgow Green of a Saturday evening? Or the rose petals and beads blocking the Morris Minors and Scarabs on Argyle Street?

Where did it all go?

Peace'n'Love'n'That.

You certainly paint a picture, Mac. I'm there, man.

In keeping with the time period (sort of - early 80s but based around the Apollo high-jinkery), Brian Eno - Deep Blue Day:

Also heard in the Worst Toilet in Scotland, of course.
