"Tear-stained Letter" by Richard Thompson with the Fairport's rhythm section, wonderful stuff.

I've been quite enjoying the little sound 'interventions' on Radio 4 (there's just been one). The first one was a pleasant and strange surprise!

Sorry to admit it but I rediscovered “Take Me To Your Heart” by Rick Astley on Spotify the other night – was a hit in 1989, but all of his subsequent songs always seemed to get overshadowed by the dreaded “Never Gonna Give You Up”…..

When did you last hear the word 'solemn' used in a song? The Manics - Enola/Alone:
All the world seems in tune on a Spring afternoon, when we're poisoning pigeons in the park.

And this. Posted it before but don't care, for it is the gorgeousness that was the Screaming Trees on Jools, playing For All I Know. Just fucking dandy-o, if you ask ask me:
All the world seems in tune on a Spring afternoon, when we're poisoning pigeons in the park.

Bedding in new technology and a four hour sleep may mean "technical difficulties for Born Too Late for Sunday oldies which provides a weekly fix of music from the fifties and sixties with pop, soul, and Rock’n’Roll records from the UK and the US.

Have you moved your clock on an hour?

Tom Jones, Louis Armstrong, The Monkees, The Move and of course Elvis all make an appearance along with the Motown medley and a selection of records from a chart in April in a year from those decades.

A Little Respect by Erasure - singing the falsetto bit in the chorus is great fun when you are drunk at a party! ::): ::):
