"I before E, except after C" works in most cases but there are exceptions.

No, they won't, but voting SNP won't hasten their demise.

Ack. I live in a Labour stronghold so voting SNP isn't going to make a difference where I live.
The best it can do, is to make sure the Labour candidate knows he has to work harder to ensure a successful re-election next time.

That's probably not strictly true as anyone who remembers Winnie Ewing in Hamilton in 1967 will attest. Ultimately it made no difference except to her ego but that ain't the point.

The fact still remains that no amount of voting SNP is going to make a macro-economic difference to the UK. Even if the Tartan Tories won all 59(?) Scottish seats at Westminster it wouldn't make the slightest difference within the bubble and there are no circumstances Salmond is going to hold a referendum to change the Westminster/ Holyrood relationship whilst he still knows he'll lose - even as a Trekkie, he can't go that far forward in time.

This thread is supposed to be about music not politics.

I'm listening to this while deciding what to do tomorrow :)
