Is this why HG has been so quiet lately, everybody is playing GTA:SA? :)

Ordered it on Amazon last night so going to dust off the ol' PS2 in anticipation of it's arrival!

been playing it for two weeks now..eyes like baw bags......I've had some help (sprout) unlocking the whole map.
Wait for your
first parachute jump,
flying that ww2 plane,
the aircraft grave yard,
the crane thing with the ball on the end... oooh there's soooo much to see.

Not paid for my Nat King Cole yet ::):

I share your displeasure. I've given up on the PS2, having had three of them pack in over the space of just over 2 and a half years. Which is especially sickening when my PS1 withstood four years of constant use and would probably still work today. From now on it's PC all the way.

Are you sure it's a year until SA arrives on PC? The last 2 GTA titles appeared in late Oct/early Nov on PS2, then in May or thereabouts the following year on PC, a period of roughly 7 or 8 months. Still a while to wait though. :(

If I was more cynical, I'd suggest that the only reason there's such a large gap between releases is so you end up buying both versions.

Don't worry too much, you could be waiting for it to come out for us Mac users out there!

Closest I've come to playing a GTA title on the Mac is GTA Advance on the GBA via an emulator!

Aye, it's a year this time, and the reason for the long gap may be due in a small way to Sony wanting it as an exclusive. Oh well, Half Life 2 is out in a week anyway

My copy of GTA:SA arrived today PLUS a free GTA bandana/dish towel depending on how you look at it.

I would now like to officially say good-bye to you all for the next month or so and I'll see you when I've completed it :)

I still haven't finished vice city yet on the pc, my problem is I can't be bothered completing missions, I just drive around listening to the radio and starting fights.

Have to try and finish doom3 before half life 2 comes out...
