What, about the quality? It's not THAT bad. And for something that costs nothing it had to be worth getting.

Oooh, dunno, but htat does sound familiar. It would probably have been translated into foreign languages, and I dare say STV probably have clips.

I started watching "That Sinking Feeling" again on Sunday. I can't place maybe 90% of the locations. The only one I know for sure is the Earl Roberts statue at Kelvingrove Park. Which the character Rab Buchanan is playing amusingly refers to as Earl, like that's his first name...[/quote]

Jesus, both the trailer and the sound clips on the MGM site are the dubbed version - almost certainly not the original actors too!

Give them a listen, and imagine the whole film in these clipped tones!

Last time I saw him he was working at a theatre in Edinburgh during the Fringe. He was sort of a Front of House Manager, and he had a beard. Recognised him after ten minutes, and was too chicken-shit to speak to him about it.

My mate worked with him a couple of years ago. I'll ask him.

Yeah, he worked at the Theatre Royal in Glasgow when I started there around 1997, again, bearded, but his role there was more stage-based, if I remember rightly. He left very shortly after I found out who he was, so never got a chance to talk to him about the film! Bugger!

Apologies for any inaccuracies but I last saw it about 20 odd years ago (puffs at pipe and clacks dentures)

It's funny to look at that shot and see some of the letters missing from the inscription. They're still missing almost twnety-five years later!

Interesting fact about our friend Lord Roberts: before he left South Africa, he started a policy of farm-burning and interring Boer women and children in camps. And in doing so, invented the idea of concentration camps.

Obviously, that isn't mentioned on his statue....

For the price of...nothing at all...a copy of Gregory's Girl.

Worth phoning. Trust me. Average picture quality or not.
