Either the 226 or x1. so he could've been going to Fairhill, Hamilton Town Centre or Glasgow :)

Met Colin Thingumy......can't remeber his name? The one with the back hair in this http://www.five.tv/home/frameset/?content=6542036&

Anyway, realy nice chap. He was walking past Mos store in Anderston and gazing up at all the Tennements, when big "brass neck" here stopped him.

Walked past Archie McPherson once.

Stuart Cosgrove was in Babbity's on Friday night.

I once dared one of my friends to go up to Johnny Vaughn in the Pleasance Bar in Edinburgh and call him a Cock. He didn't.

And I once took a trip on the Paddle Steamer Wavereley and noticed Jonathan Cohen, of Childrens TV piano playing fame.

I've got loads more of these, you know....

Technically Stuart Cosgrove and Johnny Vaughn are not "washed up star’s"
Jonathan Cohen, I think you would have to be a fan to enjoy his work...

I passed by Billy Connelly in Glasgow Central train station once.
Also met Glen Michael from the old tv show Glen Michael's Cavalcade.
I smacked him with a fishing rod.
I was young, on stage at one of his live performance shows and we were all to fish off the end of the stage and catch a fish, but me being me and knowing how to fish at that age as my dad taught me i cast the rod back and smacked him in the face :>
Also seen Sir Jimmy Saville run past me in the marathon through Pollok.

Who'd remember washed-up one's? I think you might have been closer to quote nobody's that got 5 minutes of fame on the box.

Do remember almost literally bumping into Viv Lumsden and Alan Douglas enjoying the BTCC at Knockhill years ago, just milling around with the rest of the crowd.

Someone may be able to remember the title of the event, but there was a one-off open air theatrical production staged in the open area of the Govan docks many years ago, and the theme was fire, quite a lot of it. I couldn't place the face until I was on the way home and I realised it was Blythe Duff who was (then) a recent addition to Taggart. Recall thinking she was much taller than she looked on TV.

Living near Byres Road, we'd be here all night if I started naming names. The funniest one recently, though, was the guy that plays Shell Suit Bob in River City. He was walking past Oran Mhor (is that how you spell it?) on Byres Road, minus shell suit (naw he wisnae nekkid, git yer mind oot the gutter!), and a gang of shell-suited wannabe neds were following him, pointing and shouting "that's Shell Suit Boab!". The poor guy had such a riddie.

Ah, but have you ever wandered round the set of a soap opera? I was going to say a "popular" soap opera, but I couldn't quite bring myself to lie, as it was indeed River City. I was assisting a pro photographer preparing some photographs of the set for an exhibition in the Lighthouse Gallery. No cast around, but the set was really interesting.
