I have to agree with Brian Paddick in that the conspiracy theorists view that the Brooks' arrest is to stop her from spilling the beans at the parliamentary commission does not hold water. If this was the intent then why wouldn't the Met have intervened last week?

That said one has to wonder if Arsehole Senior and Junior will now turn up.

THE END OF THE EMPIRE?

17 Jul 2011

THE chief executive of the company that publishes the Wall Street Journal became the first casualty in America of the phone-hacking tsunami that is sweeping through Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation – but he is unlikely to be the last.

This is getting quite unbelievable!
As the net gets cast wider and wider in this affair how long before we get politicans having to go as well?
If the Met Commissioner has to resign due to his involvement of an individual that he used as a consultant, doesn't David Cameron, given his judgement over Clouson and his closeness to Brookes, have to go as well?

I don't think Cameron is anywhere out of the woods on this issue. It has turned into one of the most interesting stories, with lots of turns and twists and other senior heads, maybe prominent ones will go...but I wonder who will get the film rights?

What was the outcome of "Sideshow Brooks" question and answer session while helping our majesties squeaky clean Metropolitan Constabulary then?
