Project Assistant
Woodlands Community Development Trust are looking for an enthusiastic project assistant who is passionate about environmental issues and encouraging the next generation to creatively explore those values.
The Woodlands Community Garden and Energy Awareness Hub is an exciting volunteer managed project that is running a short term project starting 26th April with three local primary schools aimed at helping the children to design, build and maintain small scale vegetable gardens using a variety of recycled materials leading to a special event as part of the West End Festival on 11th June.
You would be working in the garden at 91-111 West Princes Street in the Woodlands area of Glasgow for 8.5 hours per week at £12 per hour.

Artist in Residence
Woodlands Community Development Trust are looking for an artist in residence to work with the network of back lanes in the Woodlands area of Glasgow.
The artist we seek will have a pre-existing practice demonstrating some form of collaboration or participation. We are looking for a proposal in which the artist uses the social context as a key element and the lanes network as a venue for activity. Artist as facilitator, activist, megaphone, juggler, entertainer, bridge or researcher are just some of the possibilities.
This is a month long residency starting 10th May 2011. The artist will be given £1000 to cover all costs.
Please send an artist statement plus five documentary images of previous work along with a 500 word proposal to Nina Wesolowski at [email protected]. The artist will be chosen by a committee of local residents and creatives.
The deadline for proposals is Friday 29th April.
