never a truer word said

evidence please.

all the evidence was presented in court was it not?

hence the GUILTY verdict

It'd be unusual for all the evidence to be presented in court. Both sides will do their best to ensure the bits which don't suit their case don't make an appearance in public.

not true

both side would have the same evidence so if it didnt suit one side then the other would make sure it was brought up.

if either side had evidence that wasnt shown to the other there would be claims of a mistrial as has happened in many cases before.

It doesn't look as if there is a maximum tariff for perjury.

My guess would be Shotts rather than Barlinnie.

I think he gor bail on the grounds he's unlikely to abscond. His face is a bit too well known for him to evade capture.

Deferring sentence for background reports is becoming the norm nowadays.

I note Gail Sheridan looks to be intending to stand for Holyrood come May.

Coulson denied phone hacking under oath, didn't he? Wouldn't want to be in his boots right now that Mulcaire's starting to drop people in it.

browned off

tommy was`a politician and had been many years,
trying to beat the opposition with his crocodile tears
telling all and sundry he was a one woman man
but that went oot the windae with a certain ms khan

tommy was a striker but scored a real own goal ,
when he brought on a substitute,a right little troll
the match report was read out loud and tommys toes they curled
as his display had made front page of the news of the world

now his own supporters turned on him and booed
but tommy shrugged his shoulders and went ahead and sued
its for the working class he said, that i take this socialist stand
well, that and the chance of two hundred grand

soon enough the game was up and tommy cried poor me
ive just been found guilty of committing perjury
but i knew it was coming and that he was going to jail
for i saw an ad on gumtree saying sunbed for sale.

"Mr Anwar told the Daily Record newspaper: "The formal complaint regarding Gail's treatment by police may well lead to a civil action. "She was left traumatised and is upset.""

Over the fact that they took her rosary beads away or because she found out her husband was a serial adulterer?

Nevertheless, the appearance of taped police interviews with the Sheridans in a BBC documentary is worthy of a complaint.
