Tomato salad, then spaghetti with chilli and garlic prawns. Shloer to drink, cutting back on alcohol.

Fennel, tomato and cannelloni bean soup - very easy, very tasty. Enough leftover for lunch.

Garden has excelled itself this year, due to SWMBO's efforts  So tonight it is leftover leg of lamb, curried with squashes, carrots, peppers, green beans and tatties, followed by bramble tart.

Lemon Sole tonight with Polenta and peas. Rhubarb tart to follow
Just making a pot of Leek and Potato soup for tomorrow's dinner. Good to make stuff with vegetables you've grown yourself in the garden.

Bolognese with pappardelle. Made the ragu last night, it's even better on the second day, like most stews. Made bread while I was at it: two focaccia and a white loaf.

Just back from a trip to Helensburgh and the Gareloch. Wasn't raining for a change.
Picked up some square sliced with Stornoway black pudding centres in Callaghans the butcher on Sinclair street. Called the Clyde Tunnel  So that's for tea tonight.

Terrific selection of fish at Tesco's in Shettleston today: lots of whole fish and odds like skate wings and sprats. Bought dogfish and the guy gave me a discount as I was the first person to buy it.

Durachdan,

Eddy

PS - cheap as chips too
