Aye, ye cannae beat a good fish supper. :)
Another sunrise with my sad captains, with who I choose to lose my mind,
And if it's all we only pass this way but once, what a perfect waste of time.

Bloody diet.

Ok folks, it's hobby-horse time again: saw an advert for a new loaf, it's glutten-free so it has to be healthy, right?
Here are the ingredients:Water, Tapioca Starch, Rice Flour, Potato Starch, Rapeseed Oil, Maize Starch, Psyllium Husk Powder, Treacle, Humectant (Vegetable Glycerine), Stabiliser (Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose), Dried Egg White, Yeast, Salt, Millet Flakes, Flax Seeds, Sugar Beet Fibre, Caramelised Sugar Syrup, Rice Starch, Preservative (Calcium Propionate), Flavouring
Still with me I hope and wondering, like me, wtf is psyllium husk powder and where can I get it?
"The powdered husk can be used as a starch for starching linen type fabrics. It can also be added to breakfast cereals, breads, biscuits and cereal bars to add fibre. No other non-medicinal uses are known for this herb."
If you're worried about the hyroxyproplyiwotsit, don't - it has been tested on rats and they were ok with it.
Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC; CAS No. 9004-65-3) is an odorless and tasteless, white to slightly off-white, fibrous or granular, free-flowing powder that is a synthetic modification of the natural polymer, cellulose. It is used in the food industry as a multipurpose food ingredient.
Mmmmm and it's only £2.85 - enjoy or.......

Thinking of having some Psyllium husk for tea. Sounds lovely. And good for the bowels apparently.

So, yesterday I gave The Tail o' the Bank a second try.

Had a chicken New Yorker (two chicken breasts, BBQ sauce, cheese and bacon) with chips, and a rather nice bottle of non-alcoholic mixed fruit Kopparberg cider.
