Quarrybrae Primary school.

If the building is in a bad condition, sometimes more economical to bring it to the ground..

Saddened to learn it has gone I spent many happy years at the "Quarry" before moving on to Wellshot Sec,y (then). I was last down that way only last year and seeing the old haunts stirred a few feelings. It seems a lot of the east end is gradually giving up its past.

no buildings are safe, you can pull down any building you want.

you may have to go a roundabout way to do it.

Listed buildings once unsafe can be brought down, create a water leak it will soon be unsafe and have to come down. Water is great for destructive properties, washes away mortar, gets in cracks freezes bursts walls, erodes the soil exposing and damaging foundations etc.

Pretty easy.

having an architect and industrial designer in the family gets the inside knowledge on a lot of stuff like this.

Perhaps the owners of listed building should be obliged to insure for the cost of full original state rebuild regardless of the cause of any damage done.
