About 10 years ago a girlfriend gave me a set of electronic bathroom scales in an attempt to help me monitor my weight.

From the beginning I cursed the thing because it read in kilograms and I think in stones etc.

Earlier today the display began to flash so I figured it needed new batteries. I turned it over to see what size it took and discovered a wee lever which allows you to switch from metric to Imperial.

As if the business with the scales wasn't enough for today ............ I went along to a meeting at Strathclyde Uni and got stuck in the lift for about half an hour with 6 other equally sweaty people.

A pint in Babbity Bowster later I got on a 16 in the Trongate. Partick please, says I, putting my 'muppet pass' on his wee machine. At the west end of the Trongate the bus turns right. I challenge the driver 'are you a 16?' Yes. 'For Partick?' Yes.

Round onto george Sq and I figure he's planning to pick up his route at Hope Street. Nae fear of that. Right turn at the west side of George Sq.

At this point several other passengers join me to ask 'where are you going?' Buchanan Bus Station was his reply

I should probably go to bed in case things get worse.

After going for a wee drink (that turned into a big drink) last night with oor Groover and Hungry Joe .. I have awoken this morning to find the inside of my head left like a razor wire trimmed scorched earth zombie apocalypse.

I can't even blink without pain.

Not good.

Very pleasant night though.

I was up at 4am, went back to bed at 6, and am now up for the day. Sorry to hear about your head Ross - 7.5% cider = brain damage. I had a very enjoyable day.
No hangover as such, I still feel a bit tipsy and a wee bit fatigued. How much longer did you guys keep drinking after I left?
