.
I'd had a you tube version of Baby by Billy MacKenzie rumbling
away in the background, when I noticed that some of the
video is filmed at Scotland Street School.

Separately, my Grandfather's Wee Brother attended this school, sometime
around WW1, and lost the sight of one eye in a pea shooter incident there.
Therefore when my Grandmother said "You'll have somebody's eye out"
she spoke from the sad experience of her Brother in Law.

Born Too late for Sunny Govan Oldies features music from the fifties and sixties today from noon on Sunny Govan radio broadcasting on 103.5FM in Greater Glasgow and online via the website.

Elvis and The Beatles are regular plays along with rockabilly, Beat groups, Pop , soul , ska and anything else that we can squeeze into two hours.

Oh there's a Motown medley and a dance instruction record spot.

Is Sunday afternoon an appropriate time to offer instructions on how to Shag?

Notice that the £125 Million netball court on Stobcross St at the SECC is now being styled as the 'Scottish Hydro Areana'. Presumably once the location Glasgow is added, this will become SHAG at the SECC ?

Scottish Health Advisory Group soon changed its name......
He advocated for the weak against the strong, the poor against the rich and labour against capital.

When the last lot of polytechnics were transmuted into universites I was living in the north-east of England. Naming was obviously up for discussion since there was already a university in most of the towns with polys (?pollies? poly's?). There was a rumour (briefly) that Newcastle Poly was going to follow an established precedent and call itself the City University of Newcastle-on-Tyne.
